In my last post, I gave a brief summary of my current situation, and I said that since I can not currently do any running, I am going to save my posts for when I am fully rehabilitated as a sort of incentive to get back on the road. Here are the three reasons why I am going to do a one-eighty and start blogging.
1) I like to write. While I certainly can not run like I would want to, nothing is preventing me from writing like I like to. My rehab has been a little longer than I thought it would be, so I have had plenty of time to think up new posts and fine tune some things that I previously wanted to post about.
2) I can blog about my rehab. My daughter is in medical school; she will have the letters "M.D." after her name in a few months. She told me that it not only would be interesting to record what I am doing to get myself back into running shape, but it might also serve as an inspiration to someone who is in similar circumstances. I can not say that I have done anything super unique in my therapy, but if it can help anyone else in any way, I will be glad to share my routine.
3) It will be easier to get into a "writing rhythm" when I return to running. This one is fairly self-explanatory. I do not want to forget about the blog when I start running again. Getting some posts in now would probably go a long way to help that.
I think I am going to post a general overview of my rehab and where I stand currently in my next posts, which hopefully will come more sooner than later. I also have a pretty good idea about some other postings that I am going to publish. Until then, thanks for reading.
